Underwriters Laboratories Acquires Pure Safety
Underwriters Laboratories Inc., better known as UL to millions of consumers, has just acquired Pure Safety, a leading training program provider to industry and small business. This indicates a serious move by UL to establish themselves in the workplace, as much as they have in homes around the U.S.
The terms of the purchase of Pure Safety were not disclosed but the safety oriented company is based in Franklin Tennessee and employes around 250 people. Pure Safety currently provides safety training programs and materials to over 1500 different companies, most of which are related to employee health category.
UL has actually been helping people remain safer for more than 100 years now as they work with government agencies, product manufacturers, and consumers to evaluate the safety of various products. Some of the industries they are actively involved in include health sciences, food, building materials, appliances, and life safety and security.
