New Online Training For Reasonable Suspicion For Supervisors
Statistics show that over 70% of the people who use illegal drugs are gainfully employed in offices, factories, or labor intensive jobs, and due to the impairment of the drugs, there is little doubt that they affect the overall safety record in the workplace.
Now, Lifeloc, which is a leading provider of breath testing equipment and drug screening supplies has produced an online training program that will assist supervisors and provide detailed information about prohibited substances, employee rights, and supervisor responsibilities in observing and approaching employees on this potentially sensitive subject.
The new course was developed around the protocol used by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s rules and regulations of reasonable suspicion of drug or alcohol use by safety sensitive workers.
The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) estimates that these employees cost American business $140 billion annually in lost productivity, theft, absenteeism and accidents.
